Semi final Young Chef 2018
Our sous chef Eric Ivanidis was selected to participe in the San Pellegrino Young Chef Competition 2018. Together with 6 other Belgian and 3 Dutch contestants, he first competed in the Benelux semi final with his dish: homemade fresh cheese, beetroot, structure of onion and Staka butter. During the semi final on 25th September, he prepared his 'signature dish', which was judged by an impressive judge consisting of Peter Goossens (Hof van Cleve***) and David Martin (La Paix*) among others. Unfortunately his dish did not make it to the finals, but we are already super proud that he made the semi finals! With this dish he proved that a vegetarian dish can also be a worthy and full dish on the menu. To back this up, we have put it on our menu during the week of 4th October. And we have already received some positive feedback!
